Fandango for Four

Felicia folded forgotten faces
into paper stars and
hung them by fine silk lines
from the high ceiling for
Friday's fancy fandango and
while she was distracted by glue
and glitter her forewarned fellow
Felix followed foolish flirtations
focused firmly on Fiona
Fiona's man Dan preferred to
dance the can-can so he kicked up
his skirts and fled to France
Fiona felt flustered and filled
her fluted glass with a beverage
that bucked as hard as betrayal
for five fitful hours Fiona fretted
swatting away Felix's fixation
like a bothersome fly
Felicia flicked open her fan and
fussed from behind her fully stocked bar
the foil stars soon fell and Felix
figured things out and went home
Felicia freshened her faded lips flounced
her full skirts and floated after Felix
Fiona felt flighty and sat down
on the floor fixing her eyes on the
falling stars she fondly fancied
a very dear friend and then
she fell into a foggy slumber just
before Frank found her
