Lilac, Wine, Pomegranate, Black

This new mountain night
drains the waning day in violets.
Light declines to lilac, wine, pomegranate, black --
another plum-colored
sunset over Roanoke.

Vivid color images changing as the sun sets, could be a bit like the retirement years.....in this case though the sun will rise again.
