Influences (lots of Americans) : Charles Bukowski, Ernest Hemingway, Truman Capote, Raymond Carver, Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Norman Mailer, Franz Kafka, J.G Ballard, Oscar Wilde etc etc. Believe in the idea of simplistic writing to create as much emotion as possible in each sentence.
