Javier Pérez Rizo is a Cuban-born fiction author based in Houston, Texas. He studied History and Creative Writing at the University of Havana and other literary centers. His short stories (in English and Spanish), published in venues such as Academy of the Heart and Mind, Sci·Fd, Bewildering Stories, MiNatura, and Black Hare Press, blend science fiction and fantasy with historical details. He is a member of the Cuban Open Space Workshop and the Online Writing Workshop for Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror.
