Another Poem About Writer's Block
These words are a square peg
losing to a circle,
while my last poem a blank page
dirty with eraser marks
and tiny shavings of rubber
still waiting to be blown away,
but as a drunk poet used to say,
when you're down for an 8 count
against writer's block,
you get yourself up by writing about it.
losing to a circle,
while my last poem a blank page
dirty with eraser marks
and tiny shavings of rubber
still waiting to be blown away,
but as a drunk poet used to say,
when you're down for an 8 count
against writer's block,
you get yourself up by writing about it.
