The Calm
He’s catching up
With an old friend
Who got married
Somewhat recently
And his friend
Tells him
That he has
A great relationship
With his in-laws
And he just smiles
At his friend
And remembers
What the
In-law experience
Was like for him
The hell
Those people
Put him through
And the calm
He now feels
Knowing that
It’s all over.
