Divine Splendour!

By Sony Dalia

Divine Splendour!

The Sun does not rise daily
just to please you only
evenings change not hues vainly
just to highlight sunset…
Nature has own agenda!

Birds fly not in sky
to show their power to rise
spanning earth and sky,
build nests carrying twigs…
needs same for all!

Deer races not vainly
scanning around vigilantly,
enlivening forest tracks
spread verdant splendour…
mobility marks life!

Birds perch not for fun
across arches, branches, towers
twittering animatedly awhile
every morning and evening…
communication cardinal tool!

Rivers flow not unknowingly
across hills, dales, habitats
lending life to all unasked
claiming not any credit…
support for survival so divine!

The poem offers insightful ways to look at nature. The word "agenda" is used ironically contrasting hidden motives behind human behaviour and unexplored meanings of natural phenomena.Benevolent to all forms of life nature has its own ways but our perceptions are limited.Only a poet like Sony Dalia can relate the concepts of mobility, communication and survival with the dynamics of nature. The language is simple but the affective impact is profound.

Exceedingly excellent one that reveals the explicitness of nature.

A wonderful description of Nature at work for the benefit of all living on our planet without expecting anything in return.
