Mountains, Zero

We pause here, call
the emptiness that
called us and we answered,
"Paradisiacal", and then, as if
the landscape is an x-ray plate
showcasing our mind's
fractured structure and
the setting of the Sun
represents the moment when
some doctor switches off
the backlight, we wait
for the deduction and the prescription.
Those never come.
We remain seated in the car.
Darkness dragged in
by the talons of birds all alike
in this light transforms
the details into a monolith mirror.
One sees himself only with eyes
nailed close.
