July 8-14th is Nude Recreation Week. Naturists from all over the country celebrate by engaging in their favorite nude recreation, from visiting nude beaches and resorts to hosting parties in their own backyards.
The force behind Nude Recreation Week is the Naturist Society, a national society based on "the simple but life-affirming joys of nude recreation". A man named Lee Baxandall started the idea of a nude recreation week back in the '70's. The idea is to promote nudism as return to a more natural way of living. As the Naturist Society says in their motto, "Body Acceptance is the Idea, Nude Recreation is the Way."
