My third grade teacher was mean,
She looked like a rough banyan tree, gnarled
and four feet thick; she was a baby blimp.
Thank God she only worked the mornings; she
was that slimy creature from the Black Lagoon.
She made Godzilla look quite tame;
her cavernous mouth spouted flame.
She thought that I was as dumb as a post.
I hated it most when she snarled at me.
Its been years ago so she wouldn't remember.
I sent her a note, saying, I've earned my Ph.D.
