Dysfunction

By Christine Seery

Dysfunction

Melancholy brown eyes
Jaded beyond years
Self perception biased
Existing dysfunctionally
Aching transparently
She walks along a different path
Struggling to find her way
Trekking through the overgrown
Forest that is life
She's stubborn as an ox
Determined not to fail
Going to be someone
Destined to succeed
She knows how to *fake it*
Soon she will *make it*
Strength of will she has in spades
Today is her day
