Your name upon the air

By Fabrice Poussin

Your name upon the air

I will never write your name onto the wind,
but if I find a way to still it for all times.
I will not attempt to carve it on the waves,
of even the quietest of waters.

I will find a way to make it live on in all memories;
it will not be marked on the side of a mountain,
nor in the highest dunes of the Sahara,
not even in the snows of Kilimanjaro.

But I will find a way to write your name,
so no one will pass by without feeling,
knowing what it is like to be near you;
it will not be on the side of the tallest scraper,

nor in the lights of the Christmas Eiffel,
or the length of the Great Wall,
not even on the surface of Mars, Saturn or Pluto;
no, I will carve your name where it only belongs,

from my every membrane to my heart and soul,
I will worship it as high as the Heavens will go,
and deliver it to the hand of the Beloved one,
for only there can I write it rightfully so.
