Between Art and Lunacy
Between art and madness
My mind dwells
In search of peace, between the craziness and lunacy
I die
But it improves my art
Although it thrusts me between dark spaces of desperation
And the ecstatic feeling of Love
As hope still resides in me
In my heart brotherhood survives
But in some of my fellow human creatures
There is much blame to share
Especially those who live in collusion with untruths
To poltergeists residing in the house painted white
And cloaked in red from the blood of children spilled and wasted
On makeshift areas animals can only live in
But not areas made for humans to exist
A poem comes to my static mind
But it does not portray the merciless evil in their hearts
My query to the spineless blind is: why is malevolence quickly embraced?
When evil offers a personal handout that obliterates benevolence?
A warped benevolence that demolishes people's ethics, kindnesses
And forsakes their souls
With no afterthought given to the damage done
To country, Christian values, society and family
Shortsighted, unthinking, uncaring, bigoted people
Destroy the fabric of a well-intentioned society
And shake the nation to its foundation
Deluding themselves thinking their way is the only way
