Atlantis

An old torn book in the library caught my attention.
'The Mystery of Atlantis' it read.
The faded blue cover, an underwater scene.
A myth, a mystery or is it in reality that Atlantis has been?
Plato in his Timaeus and Critias mentioned Atlantis.
Then the research and different views on Atlantis started.
So many fantasies, so many sci-fi s of the city.
Descriptions and situations of the vicinity.
The great city with great people of valour.
Rich art and culture even scientific advancement.
A botanical, zoological and anthropological missing link.
The huge city in the ocean did sink.
The Lady of Elche, a statue of the priestess of Atlantis,
Or the hot springs at Sao Miguel,
Reminiscent of Plato's descriptions of Atlantis' hot and cold springs.
To our mind the history of Atlantis brings.
Ruins deep down below
At the central region of the Atlantic Ocean.
The mystery is still not solved of the city great.
But my explorer mind wishes that its existence is proved, even if late.
