If you've been more bad than good in your life

then when you die you still go to Heaven
they tell me at church and Sunday School but
you don't get to stay for long in the Good
Place so look around fast and soak stuff in
before God sends you south to Hell to sear
for Eternity, maybe that will take
the edge off eternal damnation but
at the church near the county line you go
to Heaven no matter how bad you've been,
nasty and rotten even -- after all,
if Jesus didn't die for that then pray
what did He die for is what they believe
out there a mile or so from the strip joint.
I'd change churches but my folks would scourge me.
