About Julianne Couch
Julianne Couch spends a lot of time asking herself how things work, or why people do what they do, or what is a behind that mysterious Door Number One. She spends even more time seeking the answers to these questions through research, travel, interrogating, and writing. Whether she expresses the answers in fiction, narrative non-fiction, or poetry, she's grateful to the academic and regional presses, along with media outlets, who publish her work. Julianne thinks of herself of a resident of a region, not a specific place. If it's between the Rocky Mountains and the Mississippi River, Julianne is happy to hang her hat there, at least for a while. Currently, that place is Northeast Iowa.
