Tim Hobbs is a former tenured professor and writer. His current work is speculative fiction exploring computational consciousness, ethics of human-AI relations, and moral obligations owed to minds unlike our own.
He holds a PhD from Florida State University and served as a faculty member at the University of Scranton where he taught and published in special and inclusive education. He brings to literary fiction the same discipline that produced more than twenty peer-reviewed professional publications. Tim has a substantial disability (about 8 out of 10 on a Steven Hawking scale) and shares a large Southern home with his wife Ysonde.
