Srinjaya Lahiri

I live in Kolkata, in the state of West Bengal in India. This city has been the cultural capital of India for the longest time. So being born and raised here, I have always been fascinated with the art of writing. But I have never had the opportunity to explore it the way I am doing now because earlier I was working. I left my job about seven years ago and now I have enough time at my disposal to devote to my favorite engagement. What I have seen so far is that my natural propensity to write mostly stems from an urge to paint vivid pictures of my personal experiences or things that I see around me. I am yet to explore different genres of writing. But right now I am focusing more on the shorter versions, one which is poetry of course.
