Don't Be Afraid, Please...

By Pranab Ghosh

Don't Be Afraid, Please...

The black rose...
It's rare...
And
It's costlier
Than
The
Red or yellow

Love, friendship...
What do you stand for
Prince?
Dark and black

Is it a spot...
A blot in your mind
That provides the backdrop
To your existence?

Or
Is it
Something you want
To flaunt, show
But cannot speak about?

You have been through it
Seen everything
Lived through the towering inferno

Walked out of it...
Alive...
But...
Bruised... scarred... broken...

And
Still...
You
Would
Not
Speak?

Who sealed your

Lips?

Time
Authority

Or

Fear...

Hidden, providing the
Superstructure of
Regimental rule?

...
...

Rule of...?

...
...
