The Best Was Yet to Come

By Supatra Sen

The Best Was Yet To Come

In my story I play all roles
The hero and the anti hero
The knight and the coward
From the young to the old
So many shades
Even more dimensions
Plots and subplots
All deftly intertwined
A giant jigsaw
Weaved by time and years
Regulated by the master story teller
Age does the make-up
And emotions the music
There is no pause… no interval
Till the curtain finally drops one day
And I must leave
Perhaps with a tinge of regret
The best was yet to come…
