A Love Letter to My Family

By Tim Law

A Love Letter to My Family

First to my beautiful wife of twenty-one years… Darling girl, you are my rock, my world, my everything. When we first met you intrigued me, the idea of risking my heart, my life for something special; your smile told me I had no choice. Each new memory and special moments have brought me steadily out of my shell. I grow in confidence just as much as my love for you deepens. We are a team, you the bright spark and me the continuous flame. I cannot wait to discover what life has in store for us next.

To my son, you challenge me, but you also give me such joy. I loved watching you grow to become the young man you are. I love even more the time that we spend together. Your Dad has more skill with the basketball now than I did at your age. Believe me, it’s true, and it is you that I very much have to thank for this.

To my daughter who is no longer small. Nen, your smile lights up a room and our hearts. We love the amazing young woman you have blossomed into. Remember all you need to be is yourself and you’ll go far. I love how you have discovered your calling so early on. I can see the tough times are now behind you. Grab that dream future with both hands and don’t let go.

Finally, to my littlest one, Boo. I’m truly impressed with how strong you are (you totally take after your mother). Your early teen years have been a battle, but thanks to those years you are already so resilient. I’m confident that you are ready for everything life throws at you. Your calling is close, and until it comes you have such a love for learning. Soak up everything, and the things that you chose to keep, I know will be as important to you later as they are to you now.

I am truly lucky to have you all as my family.

With all my love…

Your husband/dad,

Tim
