For Beauty Again

By Rp Verlaine

For Beauty Again

You left with
the mutant rainbow
kaleidoscope
that sometimes colored
my world
in your pocket.
While the black
and grays suffocate all now
recycling unwanted
reminders.
Till I'm left a dancer
who can't hear the music.
Can't make out a sound
only echoes on dance
floors movements lost
to us now.

In this new world
like an unpainted
clown I miss the colors.
And in the darkness
I move without
a clue to the dance.
While an orchestra
colorless and
mute play
a requiem.
I never got
to whisper
in your perfect ear.
