This picture was taken on Shortoff Mountain in the Linville Gorge Wilderness Area (NC). A fire had recently swept through that part of the Wilderness Area and this was one of the casualties that made for an interesting composition. It was taken with a 10.1 megapixel Olympus Stylus 1030 SW.
