Many a Thing Is Superfluous

Many a Thing Is Superfluous

Many a thing is superfluous, as They reckon.

Why would anyone need a brain?
Eyes they have, to see and know,
and ears are there to take orders.

And the tongue is even more nonsensical,
for 'yes' alone you just nod your head.
The creation of a huge store of words, along
with reading and writing to become a learned citizen
was all a sham, not a penny's worth.

And who needs a bloody, tender heart!
The nose is there to breathe and live,
and one moves their limbs to be able to work.

And, you know, the stomach is a big conspiracy:
even the proletariat of the world
could not unite against it.

Rather illegitimate are the plentitude of males.
How else do you explain the abundance of harems,
the scores of queens for the Royal throne?

Many a thing is superfluous, as They reckon.
Tell me, would you change yourself,
or will you change them?
