After I Died

By Milton P. Ehrlich

After I Died

As soon as I arrived
I found it pitch black,
and completely silent.
Gravity doesn't exist,
people float around.
We smell each other
like other mammals.
I sniffed every lady
until I caught a hint
of Evening in Paris,
and knew it had to
be you and vowed
to never let you go
again for all eternity.
