I Sit Here, Trapped in My Room

By Bradford Middleton

I Sit Here, Trapped in My Room

i sit here for the first time in a while
the first time in a long old while and
remember just what the keys on this
damn device are really meant for ...

they are there so i can type my way
into immortality
to the legends
who've passed before
don't worry i won't be too long now
as i sit
trapped in a room
on a plague island just off the west
coast of a civilized land
