Wealth
Back then we'd get
a pizza once a week
and go to the abandoned
wharf by the multi-million
dollar homes and eat.
Dreaming we'd be rich
enough one day to buy
one. Planning in our heads
all the things we could
do to achieve it, and how
good it would feel. Never
noticing the eyes in all those
homes watching us on the
wharf: remembering better
days.
