Longing for Love

"...The heart speaks, there is no respite..."

Longing For Love

In the sweet desire of union’s trove,
I am thirsty, longing for love.

Today, the words have ceased to flow,
The value of trust is at low.
The love in my heart overflows,
The scale of love has come to close.

Holding onto the pot of love,
I am thirsty, longing for love.

The heart speaks, there is no respite,
There is pain, but no sigh in sight.
The path of life seems so vast,
Yet its course can’t be forecast.

Becoming your companion today,
I am thirsty, longing for love.

Where is that shade to play,
And my dreamy place to stay?
I seek shore for infinite desire,
Where to find a place to retire?

In the hope of a new cove,
I am thirsty, longing for love.
