She keeps the light glowing

"Gathering bits and pieces like a bird, weaving a home..."

She keeps the light glowing

Gathering bits and pieces like a bird,
weaving a home,
my wife rises early in the morning
while I curl up in masculine sheets,
thinking about the coming day.

From her unkempt hair,
droplets of water drip,
and the bells jingle in the temple.

The kitchen comes alive
with the aroma of spices,
and I ride on time
to run in my own direction.

The night deepens,
she keeps the light glowing,
I return as a hungry man,
Carrying challenging problems
ready to unleash
my anger on her.

Holding the baby in her lap,
growing her with pats,
she hums as if praying
for the day to pass with positivity.
My wife never tires.

She greets at the sound of my footsteps,
my anger melts away,
Faith, empathy, and affection
all are born within me at once.
