Loneliness Gardens Loneliness

"...instead, I served loneliness in bed..."

Loneliness Gardens Loneliness

I should have made some tea
for you and instead, I served
loneliness in bed.

My father savoured the same
until the day he didn't and died.
You looked at me.

I sprawl like a spoiled garden
at the estuary of spring.
My father's seeds turn into saplings.
