We Are the World

By Kimutai Kemboi Allan

We Are the World

“If you cajole me into singing
With pleasantries

I’d stare for a few minutes
And bid my rough chords to work

Pleasing an audience is a slippery sport
I happen to have a plastic faith

You will have to wait in patience
I collogue my vocals to agreement

The time may well be right
And the stars up do align

I will move my lips in sweet song

We are the world…”
