Where Have You Gone, Confucius?

"... Why were you born, my child?..."

Where Have You Gone, Confucius?

Where have you gone, Confucius?
– I’ve gone to memorize the Tao –
How long will you be gone, Confucius?
– Yesterday, tomorrow, now –

Why have you risen, Christ?
– Because I must meet the Buddha –
When will you return, my Lord?
– When I know all of us are brothers –

Why were you born, my child?
– To be me and to be your daughter –
And what will you do, my child?
– I shall remove the S from Slaughter –

Why were you born, my child?
– To be me and to be your son –
And what will you do, my child
– Demonstrate that we are all and one –

Why am I here now, Yahweh?
– To find the love that hides in your heart –
And then what shall I do, Yahweh?
– Teach what you find until you depart –
