Spacious

"...It is too distant for me to know..."

Spacious

Outer space is spacious.
I am not sure it is well lit.
It is too distant for me to know.

Over there I wonder if aliens
have arms or wings
outspread so wide
like the sails of a pirate ship.

I have a strange imagination
like no other person I know.
Mercy, mercy me,

When will the aliens arrive
to take my body away?
Will they carry me in their wings
to deposit me in an alien landfill?
