The Quietest Execution

"...light from our phones does a poor impression of the sun..."

The Quietest Execution

The guns are loaded,
even if they're only a metaphor
firing on a screen
most will never read,
especially in this age of memes,
when light from our phones
does a poor impression of the sun,
and with no risk of sun burn,
we stare longer than we should,
only to eventually wear a blindfold
without even realizing it.
