boredom

i do
so many
things
out of
boredom –
write poems,
eat,
crank one out.
i heard
paul mccartney
once say
that he
created
a lot of beatles songs
out of
boredom.
it’s a
good thing,
maybe
the best
for creatives.
but there
seems
to be
less space
for boredom
now
with all
the things
that stimulate
us.
i wonder if
they are
trying
to make us
less creative…
no!

no writer’s
ever had
a thought
like that.
