When Raindrops Fell

"...do they dance among the stars..."

When Raindrops Fell

In still of slumber raindrops danced
Beneath a moonless sky
Reflecting light of distant stars,
My dreams within, waltzed by

One after one the raindrops fell,
And splashed upon the floor
Evaporating in the air —
And dreamt of never more

I often wonder where they’ve gone,
Perhaps forever sleeping —
Or do they dance among the stars,
My dreams within their keeping?
