I Been Away

First off I got to apologise to my audience of some
Mad demented souls who’ve probably not even noticed
That somehow down the line I got lost
On this old poetry game, this ultimate gamble of
Senses and finances, wrote a novel and a bunch
Of stories that, well face facts, unless you wanna
Read a bunch of porn-lit sites online you ain’t
Never gonna read unless you ask me and then
Only if it’s really really nicely or at the point of a
Gun. Second off, if I’m deranged enough, maybe
I’ll just give the whole fiction thing a miss and live long,
But maybe not that long, as a poetry underling to
Some mighty souls I can’t even comprehend.
