Love Digitalized

"...filters to upload a blemish-free reality..."

Love Digitalized

The digitally addictive minds
drink the liquor of love
to gain followers.
They hold hands,
tag each other in stories,
edit smiles with filters
to upload a blemish-free reality.

But soon,
when one reaches the ladder of trends,
becomes a rising star in the algorithm,
while the other still buffers —
love loses its innocence
in the slow scroll of affection.

And now,
they forget
how, in the rush of curated joy,
in the cacophony of calendar notifications,
the silence they once embraced together
turns into an abandoned umbrella.
