Cacophony of Love

As an author and scholar, P. S. Perkins is published in several prose/poetry anthologies, as well as published professional works on Human Communication.

Cacophony of Love

How can you not hear it?

Are you listening to the discordant

whaling sounds

piercing through the silence?

The silent noise of extinction.

Screeching,

Howling,

Chirping,

Hissing,

Growling,

Talking,

  Talking,

    Talking.

The sounds of notes created interdependently but

playing independently from the same sheet music.

Scores and scores of sonatas

crashing into one another

rushing towards one cymbal-ick crescendo!

Never listening to the melody line

beneath the incomplete rhythms and rhymes racing

to find nothing?

Desperately wanting to find other.

For it is an orchestra of different notes

designed for all to see and

willingly BE a KEY-note in the greatest

symphony ever conducted…

RETURN TO LOVE.

Listen for the melody.

You have a note to play.
