Back Road

"...idolaters, cannibals, emerging from holes..."

Back Road

on the back road the
Heney's, hordes of
idolaters, cannibals, emerging
from holes
to chase whomever
down the street, but
not far--
they never left the
back road: married
each other, and had heinous children
and beat tom tom
drums
around a campfire--
while living in a Congo of
their minds.
