The Multitude Within

"When I speak, Mother surfaces..."

The Multitude Within

When I speak, Mother surfaces
In keeping promises my Father
When I receive guests
I’m completely my grandma
My love for music is much the same
As that of grandpa
I’m into reading just like my brother
In pursuits my sister
While arguing my grand uncle
And in fury my great aunt

I then hold a little bit of everyone
A checkered collage
Stitched intricately through ages and time
I contain multitudes within
Ageless…timeless…eternal
With the dreams of my forefathers
Struggles and battles of generations
Alive within me
I stand
Awaiting my destiny…
