Bidding Farewell to Periplaneta americana
Good-bye, li’l buddy.
You have to go on a vacations now.
You will see many magical things
such as a tidy-white tunnel that will suck
you down into oblivion, passing ships
and skiffs and shrimp boats galore. You may
end up there on the beach, off some coast,
crawling up onto the sand never to be
destroyed my man-made means. They say
you’ll survive the Apocalypse.
I don’t believe that. We’re already
in it, and you’re still here by the billions
freaking out every sort of human that walks
the planet.
Good-bye, little cockroach.
I wish you good luck.
