The Guests

"...We must protect the most vulnerable..."

The Guests

Standing in front of the window.
The bullets shatter the nothingness of normalcy.
I’m not sure what I’m thinking as I go down.

We must protect the most vulnerable at all costs.
Capitalism is no excuse for plunging our country into chaos.
We must stare into the abyss and resist what’s staring back at us.

The guests presented themselves like pilgrims at a crucifixion.
No one was safe as the venture capitalists drilled into our souls.
His ear bandaged with fake news and the wet dreams of a strongman gone bust.
