Yellowed Pages in Books of Poetry

graves in cemeteries,
we go to thrift stores
and find the dead too easily
on scratched CDs and DVDs,
and yellowed pages in books
of poetry, where poets never dreamed
that death could be being
left on the wrong shelf
next to secondhand coffee mugs.
