Our Guiding Light

When we forge our own course through the wilderness,
We tend to get lost,
Or meander into quagmires.
If only we had someone to show us the way,
If only we had a guide...

We do.

Jesus is our guiding light.
He clears the thorns along the way
That tear at a weary soul.
His light reveals the hidden pitfalls
And steers us past temptation's snares.

No matter the maelstrom that rages around us,
Jesus will shield us from the storm,
And give us the strength to carry on.

In every walk of life,
Whether urban streets or forest trails,
Life can be a tangled jungle.
But we can always find our way through the darkness
By walking in His light.
