Odd But Successful
I often ask myself
which side am I on,
right or left?
My hands pull opposite ways,
One eye believes, the other doubts
my feet refuse each other
yet somehow
they move me forward.
The heart,
nudged slightly left,
keeps time for love.
The damned mind,
forever tilting right,
puts on mischief
like a well-cut outfit.
My back stands tall
without a spine.
So here I am,
balanced in confusion --
proof that a successful man
can still look odd.
