Eye of the Storm
Hold fast in the Jim-crack Sea,
Thereβs a light to the starboard bow.
Beneath the guttering gulls
And the incoming squall
but no billet for you and me.
So, we share the quarterdeck
Of our conjoined souls,
While the mugging sea
From beneath our feet,
The world begins to wreck.
A port we will someday find,
Be it at hand or still far off
With an inn and some ale
And a place we can stay,
Two hearts at last entwined.
Thereβs a light to the starboard bow.
Beneath the guttering gulls
And the incoming squall
but no billet for you and me.
So, we share the quarterdeck
Of our conjoined souls,
While the mugging sea
From beneath our feet,
The world begins to wreck.
A port we will someday find,
Be it at hand or still far off
With an inn and some ale
And a place we can stay,
Two hearts at last entwined.
