Let There Be the Last Journey to the Rains!

"...Drifting away like empty dreams..."

Let There Be the Last Journey to the Rains!

Where have you all floated away
Like pregnant clouds that raises
Alarm of lost labour and leave
You pining for their embalming
Touch, suffering alone the agony,
The ecstasy marked in memory!

Where’ve you all gone?
Drifting away like empty dreams,
Like song, from an unknown era,
Its meaning unfathomable
But melody haunting you like
A witch smitten by love
Marching through your curtained
Sleep foiling every attempt
Your mind makes to resist the
Temptation, only to fall a prey
And wake up with parched throat
And bruised sensibilities!

Where’ve you all gone?

The drenched earth will bless us
Following the monsoon touch
Of the cloud girls and their
Unconditional love, but my body
Like a lost desert will lie and
Chart a course to find its way
Into the world of maps and rules
Only to break those till I
Remember the oasis, where I
Nursed your bruised body with
Water, the ever-present blessings,
Of the cloud girls, and cruise
Along its flight path to be
Smitten by your touch
For one last time!
