Sleep

By Lydia Manx

Sleep - perchance to dream
Shakespearian couplets in my head
In bed I lay restless
Slumbering deep or not at all

Escaping the day - sliding into the night
My dreams prowl with feelings
Crimson at times - black others
Colors tumbling erotically

My slumber so unframed
Much like my thoughts
A turn towards future
Rebuilding a past
