Looking to the Sky

By Lydia Manx

Contrails rip the sky apart
A casual nearly visual art
Cerulean with shades of purple
Etching at the corners of the land

Primitive echoes of mankind
Chase logic from one's mind
Pulses of emotions race within
The what-if tangents haunt the time

Sky watching a constant task
The sweet night's black mask
As darkness falls hiding all
From birth to death.
